I have what I think is the top qualification to be a REALTOR®: a passion for houses, and for turning them into homes. And I’m a dyed-in-the-wool people person, with a very friendly and positive attitude. I can find humor in just about every situation. That helps a lot as we work together to turn problems into opportunities.
Many of my skills—customer service, listening, accounting, organization, and negotiating with tact and diplomacy—I mastered during two earlier careers. I retired as a manager from USAA, the insurance and financial-services group. Before that I was the administrator of Pension and Welfare benefits funds for longshoremen in Norfolk, Virginia. That experience honed my skills as an organizer—longshoremen are great folks, but they don’t appreciate errors in their benefits.
Other skills I developed through on-the-job training. Prior to becoming a REALTOR®, I personally bought (and sold) a dozen houses. Each was a “forever home” until it was time to move again. There’s no better way to learn about remodeling, decorating, and dealing with the endless details of a real estate transaction.
I earned my real estate sales license in 2014, and my entire career has been with Long Realty. It’s been a good match—I earned a place in the President’s Club in my first year, moved up to the Chairman’s Club, and then to the Director's Circle. Membership in the clubs is an honor reserved for high-producing agents. Working with Long Realty allows me to turn my passion for homes into providing you with the exceptional real estate experience you deserve and expect.
My goal is to find the perfect home for my buyers and negotiate the best deal for my sellers. I hope you will walk with me during this journey in our little corner of paradise!
